We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant / Technician to join a team of distinguished hospitality enthusiasts. Marine North Berwick has recently reopened following a full hotel refurbishment. Our goal is to create the greatest golf hotel experience in the world.
Key Responsibilities
We are specifically looking for an individual with domestic plumbing repairs experience who is comfortable with basic joinery, tiling, flooring, decorating and gardening. They will:
- Respond promptly to requests for emergency repairs and clean-ups
- Carry out general building maintenance of both private and public areas
- Complete regular statutory checks, assessments and preventative work
- Manage multiple jobs prioritising them as required
- Source and order parts and materials required to complete jobs
- Liaise with housekeeping, reception, concierge and back of house teams
- Oversee and support external contractors on site
- Be involved in all aspects of hotel maintenance, both internally and externally
You Need
- Construction Maintenance Operations NVQ Level 2, City Guilds or equivalent experience
- Skilled in domestic DIY including fault finding, repairs and installations
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trades
- Demonstrate understanding of HS standards, and regulations for this role
- Work in a small team with a shared responsibility to achieve team goals
- Friendly and approachable with great communication skills
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Deliver empathic guest service every time
