Our team is growing, and we are hiring, we are looking for a full-time baker.
We are Mamoosh Bakery, a family run Middle Eastern bakery in Newhaven, established in 2015. An expanding business with an excellent reputation, we freshly bake artisan pitta bread and other breads for the wholesale and retail trade.
You will be an enthusiastic team-player who enjoys a physical job, thriving in a rapid-paced environment. You are happy to work evening / night shifts with a 5pm-7pm start 5 nights a week, Monday to Friday and have experience working in a bakery or supermarket bakery.
We are currently growing the team and are going to introduce a day shift, Monday to Friday, 5am to 1pm
About the role
This is a permanent position, working as part of a team of experienced bakery staff. Salary is between £13.20 – £14.20 to reflect your knowledge and experience, to be reviewed after 3 months.

The Role
- Evening shifts / Night shifts
- Mixing, prepping, baking, packing and cleaning
- Checking stock levels
Requirements
- Knowledge of baking, bakery products and ingredients
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm and collected in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes
- Ability to carry out basic maths tasks
- Experience working with bakery machinery such as mixers
- Knowledge of food hygiene
- Be organised and methodical with a good eye for detail
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Good social skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and alone
