Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Editor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for editing, proofreading, and reviewing written and video content to ensure that it meets high editorial standards. The role requires someone with excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of various media platforms. The editor will work closely with our team of reporters, producers, and content creators to ensure that all content is accurate, informative, and engaging.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit and proofread written and video content for accuracy, style, grammar, and tone.

Ensure that all content meets high editorial standards and is free of errors.

Work with reporters, producers, and content creators to develop and execute content plans.

Help to manage the production of video content, including scheduling shoots, coordinating with crews, and reviewing footage.

Stay up-to-date with news and trends in the media industry.

Collaborate with other editors and members of the production team to develop new ideas and content strategies.

Ensure that all content is optimized for SEO and social media.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Assist with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.

At least 1 years of experience as an editor, preferably in a newsroom or media organization.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Knowledge of AP Style and other style guides.

Familiarity with digital media platforms and content management systems.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience with video production and editing is a plus.
