We now have an exciting opportunity to join the Group Environmental Sustainability Team in Lloyds Banking Group supporting the Insurance, Pensions and Investments business unit as the Senior Manager responsible for developing and shaping sustainable propositions and partnerships to support the goals and commitments of the Insurance business.

The IP&I business unit helps more than 10 million personal customers with their long term protection, retirement and investment needs. We have committed to gradually reducing the overall emissions contained in our investments portfolios to net zero and we have an ambition is to be a leading UK insurer in improving resilience of customers’ lives against extreme weather caused by climate change.

What you’ll be doing…
You'll lead the development and delivery of a dynamic pipeline of commercially and ethically successful propositions and partnerships for our Insurance business as well as shaping cross group propositions to support net zero transition in key sectors. Ensuring that activity is coordinated across business units, embedded into strategic plans and aligned to the Group’s wider Environmental Sustainability activity.
  • Work alongside the Head of ESG for IP&I to lead the definition, shaping, sourcing and launch of new propositions and partnerships to support the sustainability objectives of IP&I using market research and expert input from across the business areas.
  • Understand the sustainability needs, challenges and opportunities of our full range of business areas within IP&I
  • Lead the development of cross Group design of Sustainable propositions which leverage the Group’s scale to support sector based opportunities for net zero transition
  • Apply strong commercial and ethical awareness to develop business cases and strategies, ensuring that there are compelling cases for investment in propositions and partnerships
  • Lead engagement with key senior stakeholders, and work collaboratively with broader teams, across IP&I, Platform Teams, Chief Customer Office, Group Corporate Affairs, Finance, Legal and Risk to gain support and sponsorship
  • Negotiate resources needed, and apply governance processes, to ensure successful delivery and launches of solutions supporting our sustainability strategy.
  • Maintain and grow a network of key partner organisations, to understand market developments using experience in developing partnership agreements that ensure that all parties benefit.
What experience you’ll have
  • Proven experience in developing and leading propositions to meet customer and client needs
  • ESG knowledge and experience of working in roles driving sustainable outcomes
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels
  • Strong leader with experience in shaping a pipeline of strategic propositions
