Bakery Shop Assistant

We are looking for a new kitchen/shop front assistant to join our busy team to play a key part in Dessert making.

You will be responsible for forward thinking, preparing, mixing, cooking, decorating, packing and full cleaning down for our full range of desserts/milkshakes/cookie doughs/frozen lemonades/iced coffees/hot coffees etc along with all our already prepared bakes.

You will need to be confident in using commercial kitchen equipment to carry out the tasks required.

Excellent customer service skills are essential to talk to our customers and work in our shop. The confident and responsible person may be required to open and close the shop alone.

The ability to lift deliveries of bags (16/25kg) of flour/sugar will be expected.

The successful candidate will be hard working, highly motivated, honest, punctual, loyal and able to get along well with the rest of the team.

You must be presentable and possess a high level of hygiene

Experience is preferred

You must love making and preparing all sorts of desserts.

You will need to: pay exceptional attention to detail
Follow recipes you are given
Work well alongside other staff
Have excellent verbal and communication skills
Have the ability to accept constructive criticism and work well under pressure
Use your initiative

We need staff who are happy to work any day of the week (Monday - Sunday) 12-30 hours per week depending on the demand of the business. Primarily between the hours of 8am and 10pm which means weekend work is essential and we would also want you to cover holidays and be flexible and reliable and have own transport as this job is for the Bury store but may include working at our Ancoats kitchen if and when needed.

Candidates must be 18+

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24-30 per week

Salary: £8.00-£10.50 per hour
