Business Support Officer - Service Support

Job Title: Business Support Officer Grade 5 Full time – Service support

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Support Officer to enhance our already established friendly and supportive team who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children's Directorate.

This post is within Core Area in the Service Support team and office time will be based at County Hall, Preston. Presently the team are working a combination of office and home working. This post will work in a team of 7 post holders supporting Heads of Services and Senior Managers in the Education and Children's Services.

What we are looking for:

Passion – You'll be passionate about delivering a great service and experience, it's what will motivate you, getting it right first time, asking for support when you need it and building on the skills that you've developed elsewhere.

Knowledge and Experience – Ideally you will have experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.

Great Communication – You'll be engaging and providing advice to Managers, Social Workers, families, members of the public and the rest of the team on a daily basis, so being able to clearly communicate the information you need and listen to individual requirements is key.

Working arrangements

We are currently working a combination of home and office working; therefore, you will be required to have a suitable working space within your home and broadband connection. If you are unable to provide a suitable homeworking environment, you will be required to work from your office base or nearest suitable office location for your none-office working hours.
