About the team & role


This is a new role which will drive forward and optimize our strategic partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF), a key flagship program. The WEF provides KPMG with a unique platform to deepen client relationships, build trust, and demonstrate market leadership.

This role, involving the day-to-day management of KPMG’s relationship with WEF, ranges from co-ordinating our senior stakeholders’ participation in WEF specific platforms and programs to managing our response to RFPs for pro-bono project work, as well as the firm’s involvement in WEF core meetings, and to ensure we are targeting the right initiatives and tracking the ROI from these efforts. This includes the Annual General Meeting in Davos, Regional Summits, Sustainable Impact Summit, Future Councils, and International Business Council and other initiatives which arise.


The successful candidate will undertake day-to-day liaison with the WEF account management team, manage the tracking of overall progress, value and ROI as well as be responsible for managing the program budget.


Key Accountabilities


70% Lead KPMG’s project management and requirements to maximise our relationship with the World Economic Forum (WEF)
  • Works closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Global Communications to develop and execute a plan aimed at strengthening our relationship with WEF through the delivery of key programs and touchpoints.
  • Coordinates with the Global Sector Heads, ESG team and appropriate functional leaders to identify and strategize the right WEF projects to go for.
  • Drives stakeholder involvement in platforms and projects, including RFPs for strategically aligned pro-bono work and measuring ROI on these.
  • Act as the dedicated liaison for the annual meeting, summits, programs and project work – supporting and activating KPMG teams internally as well as building strong relationships with WEF externally
  • Manages our brand and event presence at the Annual General Meeting in Davos: expand and optimise client relationship opportunities for our key stakeholders in attendance; build broader stakeholder relationships; play an active role in setting the global agendas and aligning our strategic agenda to enhance KPMG’s reputation.
  • Extending the value of WEF for our brand, reputation and across our network of member firms
  • Act as a trusted advisor to KPMG’s most senior business leaders to support their engagement and activity with WEF
20% Oversee Resource Management and Collaboration
  • Lead and collaborate with markets / sales, marketing and communications professionals to help amplify and communicate key initiatives internally and externally
  • Motivate colleagues to deliver quality results
  • Take ownership for leveraging our resources to support high quality content and assets that leverage the WEF partnership. This includes teams in Program Delivery, Compliance, Risk, Analytics, Event Management, Brand, Digital, Collaboration and Knowledge, and others comprising a mix of in-house, outsourced and offshored resources and services
  • Seek and implement best practices.
  • Work KPMG’s Global Functions and Sectors to ensure a joined up and integrated approach to content approach and relationship development
10% Spearhead Reporting
  • Budget management for external vendors
  • ROI tracking – particularly on projects/pro-bono work
  • Measure and track against our strategic business plan and core priorities


Experience & knowledge

  • Extensive experience in project management, brand, sponsorship, marketing, communications, or related fields. Ideally a professional with a significant level of management experience ideally in a global matrix environment
  • Commercial acumen is a must
  • Experience interacting with senior management and exercising diplomacy
  • Proven project management skills on big and complex projects with the ability to get buy-in and support for positioning from diverse and often widespread stakeholders.
  • Experience in formulating high impact results with a team across borders with the ability to think independently
  • An effective collaborator who can work with diverse stakeholders and plan ahead to manage shifting circumstance and often tight deadlines
  • Ability to drive change across an organization/network
  • A proactive, highly service oriented and client-centric attitude
  • Proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Experience working in a culturally diverse, global environment


Required skills:
  • Comfort with wide variety of cultural differences and skill sets and ability to work a flexible schedule to interact with colleagues in other time zones around the world.


Technical skills, abilities & qualifications

  • Solid educational background and qualifications
  • Post-secondary education preferred – degree level or college diploma
  • MS Office, SharePoint and understanding of social media channels
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to build consensus and influence
