Leading bright bar manufacturer with growing sales is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
The successful candidate will have a flexible working attitude and be willing to work alongside and assist in mechanical maintenance activities when required.
Hours of work are normally 38.75 per week, Monday to Friday, reduced family friendly hours may be an option. A willingness to work occasional shifts and/or accept occasional call-outs would be a distinct advantage (additional pay applies).
Employees enjoy 34 days annual leave.
We are keen to hear from local candidates that have worked in a medium/heavy manufacturing environment and have significant experience of electrical maintenance across cranes, switchgear and manufacturing machinery.

Electrical Engineer Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Health and Safety Legislation and Company policies are being complied with at all times.
- Carry out electrical repairs on any and all plant and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and rectify 3 phase electrical faults and problems
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in maximizing Plant availability through the implementation of planned and preventative maintenance schemes.
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, variable frequency drives, PLC devices and other electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret drawings, ladder logic, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Significant experience in an Industrial electrical maintenance position.
- Time served electrical engineering apprenticeship program.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Practical experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), DC Drives, Servo Controls, Pneumatics, Temperature Controls and Power Distribution Systems.
- IEE wiring regulation 17th/18th Edition
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- IPAF license – Cherry picker
- PLC knowledge – Allen Bradley, Siemens

Salary: £35,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
