Botanical Horticulturist

More details

This post will be involved with the implementation and maintenance of external bedding displays including the Parterre, Roundabouts, Display House surrounds, Admin Courtyard, Carriage Circle, and other ‘bedding’ areas as required. The post holder will also be involved with the installation of interior displays e.g. the Orchid Festival and will support the decorative nursery at peak times. All these displays are important components of Kew’s public offer and it is critical that they are of a high horticultural standard as they can have a major impact on visitor satisfaction and public opinion of Kew.

You'll need to have a horticultural qualification equivalent to NVQ level 1 or equivalent experience.

To be successful in this role you'll need to be a team player with good communication skills, and also to be able to work on your own initiative.

The salary will be £21,500 per annum.
