About us

Keptie Bakery - We are a small multi award winning family bakery with 3 shops throughout Angus. Our head office and bakehouse is based in Letham and our other shops can be found in Arbroath and Brechin.

We also supply many local cafes, bistros, newsagents and even castles throughout Angus.

We buy quality ingredients and use traditional methods. We are massive supporters of shopping local and practice what we preach, we buy local where we can. Angus has so much to offer with many great local suppliers.

We source our eggs, milk, cheese and cream from a local dairy in Dundee, our meat comes from a local butcher in Brechin, our strawberries from a local farm in Arbroath, our Tatties from a local farm in Letham, our drinks, sweets and crisp supplier is based in Montrose, our coffee beans are roasted in Arbroath, our jam supplier is based in Carmyllie and our packaging comes from a supplier in Dundee. We have just complete 2 full shop refurbishments and used a local company based in Letham to complete the works.

We care about our staff and our community. We run a charity waste scheme. Keptie Bakery is a family run business where our staff matter and are not simply just a number.

We have the following position available:-

*Part Time Retail Assistant (age 18 +) - Average 12hrs per week

Working Hours:- 11.30am -2.30pm Tues, Wed, Thur & Fri*

*In addition to the hours listed, you must be fully flexible and available to help cover sickness and holiday periods between the hours of 7am and 4pm Monday to Saturday

This is a new position due to the growing needs of our business. We are looking for a bubbly people person who can give a first class service to our customers while working well as part of a small team or own their own.

High standards, attention to detail and multi tasking are key attributes of the role which will involve serving customers both in person and over the phone, handling cash, balancing the till, making sandwich fillings, preparing and taking food/celebration cake orders, washing dishes and cleaning. The list is not exhaustive of all tasks required for this role.

Aged 18+ as the role will involve the successful candidate to be a keyholder with lone working. Flexibility to cover holidays and sickness are essential. Experience preferred however full training will be provided.
