Operations Co-ordinator

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the operational flying programme and coordinating support from all teams ensuring we are operating safely and in accordance with all Company and statutory requirements. This role plays a vital role in the achievement of Jet2.com’s ‘On Time Performance’ targets.
The Operations Control Centre (OCC) operates 365 days a year, 24 hours a day and this role is predominantly a 4 on, 4 off (2 days, 2 nights) 12 hour shift pattern working in our Operations Control Department.

What will you do in the role?

As our Operations Coordinator, you will provide support to all flying operations with particular attention to weather, aircraft serviceability, crewing status and other potential issues that may have an adverse impact. In this role no day or night is the same due operational challenges, but you will find a great sense of achievement overcoming these as part of a great team. You will also;

• Maintain a flight watch of all Company flights and ensure accurate tracking of each aircraft as well as ensuring all flight information is completed and correctly entered and distributed as required.
• To overcome challenges, you will need to think outside of the box but also follow company procedures and policies to ensure the safety of colleagues, customers, and company assets.

What are the key skills / experience you’ll already have?

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within an airline operations environment. Any experience within Ground Operations, Passenger Handling, and flying would be an advantage. Experience as a supervisor or manager in a customer facing or non-airline operational role would also be considered. In addition;

• You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of ‘On Time Performance’ with experience of working under your own initiative and to tight timescales, as well as being a supportive and effective team worker.
