Based at Derby DC

We are seeking a candidate that will be responsible for ensuring the completion of all tasks by supporting the Senior Security Supervisor in and contributing to the safe working environment, preventing loss/damage to company property and maintaining the safety of our teams.

Some of the Key responsibilities:

 Ensure that all security policies are adhered to, providing guidance where necessary

 Regular patrolling of the site to prevent unauthorised access and prevent the appropriation of both employee and company property

 Adhere to all company policies and ensure you are working within health and safety guidelines

 Search staff in accordance with current procedures/policies.

 Be professional and courteous at all times

 Ensure staff/contractors/visitors are booked in correctly and relevant parties informed

 Ensure all equipment is booked in/out

 Book supplier's vehicles in and ensure all vehicles are sealed on arrival/departure

 Supporting the JD SOC is dealing with incidents/alarms as per the policy

 Any other reasonable activities in line with the needs of the business

Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:

 Operational knowledge/experience of an alarm receiving

 Experience of working to health and safety requirements

 Basic computer literacy skills

 Able to work under pressure in a busy environment

 Works well as part of a team; supportive of others

 Communicate effectively at all levels

 Respond to issues quickly, positively in a fast paced and changing environment

 Previous experience of working in the security industry and supervisory experience would be an advantage

 Knowledge of common law powers in relation to detaining potential offenders
