More About the Role
As a Nights Warehouse Assembler, you will be required to work with a team of assemblers to accurately assemble and pack orders daily through a voice picking computer system to supply the SPAR Stores with the correct products. You will also be required to ensure all products are dispatched in a timely manner and they are of the highest quality and standard. You will take instruction from the Warehouse Supervisors, Team Leaders and Management. You will also be required to provide a professional and effective delivery service.
Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing
- Assembling items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and packing orders for pickup according to a schedule.
- Ensure that the moving of equipment (roller trucks, units, racks, pallets etc.) is carried out safely.
- Replenishing stock
- Assisting with seasonal activity
- Comply with all Health and Safety policies.
- Motivate team members and provide assistance to the management team.
A Few Things About You
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively to meet business needs and deadlines
- Self-motivated
- To be a positive, organised individual, capable of working as team member or on their own initiative
- Be numerate and computer literate
- Experience of working in a similar environment as a warehouse operative or similar level would be desirable
- Some knowledge of computer based systems would be desirable but not essential (full training would be provided)
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
