More About The Role
We are a large distribution company based in Preston with our own in-house and on-site printing department and we are looking for an Apprentice Flexographic Printer with an eagerness to learn and keen attention to detail to work alongside a small but experienced team who take pride in their work and the products that they produce.

Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start a career in printing within a well-established company with a successful future
Full training is provided with our fully funded apprenticeships after which you will be a fully qualified Flexographic Printer. As an Apprentice Flexographic Printer, you can be expected to-

  • Complete NVQ Level 3 in Machine Printing
  • Learn to operate a seven colour KDO Flexographic Printer
  • Monitor and control printing press to obtain maximum quality
  • Set and mount plates, set gears and print cylinders, set print dies
  • Complete job ticket documentation
  • Work well within a team to meet short deadlines
  • Ensure machines are maintained to a good working order
  • Report any issues to line management
  • Adhere to correct Health and Safety procedures

A Few Things About You
  • We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high levels or accuracy at all times
  • GCSE 4-9 or equivalent required in Maths and English
  • A willingness to learn about all aspects of Flexographic Printing
  • You will possess a good attention to detail and have an ability to be
  • self-motivated and organised
  • You will have a pro-active, positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as in a team
  • You will be required to maintain good attendance and time keeping
