WHAT TO EXPECT

Within our Digital Procurement function, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Operations Specialist. This Operations Specialist will be involved in a team that, supports the interface between procurement category teams and stakeholder functions within relevant business projects from early strategy development through to delivery.

The Procurement Operations Specialist responsibility is to provide data driven co-ordination for the Digital Procurement category teams; ensuring strategy and sourcing requirements for programme delivery are understood, planned and executed at the required quality, time and cost, following the appropriate project/programme delivery system.

• Excellent IT skills – particularly with Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

• Proven track record of demonstrating logic and analytical thinking.
• Extensive data management skills.
• Knowledge / experience of working using an Agile methodology.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Procurement Operations Specialist you will be expected to provide operational support to the Digital Procurement Team, as well as ensuring Procurement processes are adhered to and lead the development / continuous improvement of business process as required.

Other Responsibilities will include:

• 
  Coordinate on-boarding programmes for new starters and ensure effective transition into the team.
• Support supplier onboarding process.
• Assist with the coordination and organisation of events.
• Represent Digital Procurement Team with Supplier Relationship Management activities, organising, updating slides, attend meetings and feedback to the wider Digital Procurement Team.
• Effective and efficient communication between Digital Procurement and core stakeholders; facilitating cross-functional working to ensure that project requirements/stakeholder objectives and procurement objectives/deliverables are aligned and delivered.
• Providing communication and visibility of procurement activity, reporting status on sourcing delivery to the Digital Procurement leadership team, the wider function and the project/programme teams; ensuring risks, issues and changes are managed in line with project governance and driving accountability for deliverables.
