ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Regional Manager, MENA Humanitarian Project plays a key role on the leadership team of an Internews humanitarian project that aims to ensure communities have access to timely, accurate, and responsive information that can help them make well-informed health choices.

The project supports communicators in 13 countries, from news outlets, fact checks, community engagement, or health and humanitarian communicators serving indigenous, migrant, displaced, and refugee communities. We know that information is power and dignity, and that it can change lives.

The Regional Manager oversees daily program operations and coordination in four focal countries: Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and Sudan. The Regional Manager coordinates closely with the Project Director and Technical Advisory team in the ongoing implementation of the project.

LOGISTICS

This is a remote-based position. Internews has headquarters offices in the United Kingdom and France and would prefer to hire a candidate based in the UK, France, or another location in a time zone compatible with the MENA region. Remote candidates based elsewhere will also be considered. However, there are some locations in which Internews is not able to support fully remote work.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so interested candidates are encouraged to apply soon.

This is a limited-duration position, with an expected end date of 30 June 2023.
