Role Purpose:

  • Digital Business Services (DBS) is a pivotal part of the Group, providing essential operational and technical support to our global businesses and helping improve customer service and efficiency. Operations, Services and Technology combines global expertise and technology to help keep us ahead of the competition.
  • To lead the region in Europe, including the UK for Travel and Event Services also to lead Mobility Globally
  • Travel & Events Services is a function within Global Procurement that owns the Group Travel procedure and delivers best in class travel and event services to internal colleagues, leveraging HSBC’s global buying power to balance colleague experience, safety and security and cost.
  • The role holder is responsible for Travel and Events operations within UK and Europe, with a focus on implementing the Global Travel Procedure locally and managing relationships between HSBC, key suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal travel and event services are provided to [region/market] colleagues.
  • Fleet Services in the UK, France and Germany is in scope of this role. Global leadership for Fleet in partnership with HR is an additional core responsibility of this role, including the electrification of HSBC’s fleet in line with Net Zero goals.
  • The role holder is also responsible for at least one core travel category or work stream globally and is expected to take a leadership role in driving delivery and innovation. The core travel category in scope for this role is ground transportation.
Requirements

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing the Group Travel Procedure into the regional markets
  • Act as point of contact on all operational travel matters with bookers and travellers
  • Manage relationships between HSBC and key local suppliers such as travel agencies, airlines, hotels, car rental companies, ground transportation etc.
  • Identifying and progressing opportunities for continuous improvement in the HSBC Travel programme on the themes of ‘Travel Smart’, ‘Travel Well’ and ‘Travel Consciously’
  • Responsible for selecting hotels included on the HSBC Global Hotel Programme on an annual basis
  • Support the negotiation of global contracts


To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Travel SME required
  • Experience managing relationships with external suppliers through the end-to-end lifecycle
  • Working with internal / external customers to deliver optimal solutions required
  • Knowledge of Global Mobility and supplier management around company car schemes
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills

The base location for this role will be UK based with hybrid working
