As a part of our salon, you'll work in a lively, creative environment focused on providing exceptional hair services to our valued clients. You'll also have the chance to showcase your skills across our sites in Peterlee and soon, Catterick Garrison.

Locations: Newton Aycliffe, Peterlee & Catterick Garrison

Job Summary: We're on the hunt for an experienced Hair Stylist with a keen eye for detail, and an unwavering passion for hair artistry. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of various hair treatments including but not limited to styling, cutting, colouring, and hair extensions. As a professional Hair Stylist, you will be pivotal in providing bespoke and transformative hair services to our esteemed clientele. Alongside impeccable technical skills, the successful candidate must be customer-oriented, ensuring excellent service, and haircare advice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a variety of hair services, including styling, cutting, colouring, and hair extensions tailored to meet clients' individual needs and desired outcomes.
• Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their hair care concerns and aspirations, developing personalised treatment plans.
• Perform colouring treatments, including fashion colour and balayage using advanced techniques.
• Offer other hair services such as cutting and styling, ensuring optimal client satisfaction.
• Advise clients on post-treatment care, including hair care routines and product recommendations to enhance treatment results and maintain healthy hair.
• Keep abreast with the latest hair trends, techniques, and advancements, attending training and educational programs as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitary work environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of clients and staff.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other team members, including beauticians and skincare specialists, to create a cohesive and harmonious environment for clients.
• Assist in managing inventory, ensuring that hair products and tools are well-stocked and available for use during treatments.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your expertise and stay ahead of industry advancements.
• Uphold the salon's reputation as a leading hair destination by delivering exceptional results and fostering long-lasting client relationships.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in hair styling, cutting, colouring, and extensions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various hair treatments, including fashion colour and balayage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with clients.
• A passion for hair, staying updated with the latest trends and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to deliver precise and meticulous hair services.
• Professional and friendly demeanour, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong time management skills to ensure efficient handling of appointments and clients.
• Relevant certifications and qualifications in hair dressing or a related field are preferred but not mandatory.
