About "The Role" – Laundry Assistant

· Load articles into washers at regular intervals to ensure steady availability of towels and linens.

· Lubricate equipment to provide light service to machines, and clean or change machine filters when needed; alert manager when machines are in need of professional repair.

· Sort articles before cleaning, separating them by fabric, color, cleaning technique or dirt content for best results.

· Sort and count articles as they are removed from dryers; hang, fold or wrap the articles according to requirements or personal attention to detail.

· Remove stains on fabrics through application of bleaching powders and steam sprays.

· Participates in monthly linen inventory.

· Suggests methods for increasing laundry efficiency.

· Work in a fast paced environment with time constraints and timing

· Multitasking with linen in various machines running at the same time with different products

· Work to deadlines related to production standards and requirements.

· To comply with COSHH regulations.

· To ensure the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment.

· Maintain a professional appearance in appropriate uniform.

· Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the laundry area and the equipment.

· Any other duties as detailed by the Housekeeping Manager or Venue Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £21,674.00 per year
