Manager - Online Picking and Repack
Our Distribution team in Thatcham are looking for an experienced Manager to join them in an Online Picking and Repack role within the Distribution team.
About The Role
The Online Picking and Repack Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely pick of all online orders generated from Harrods warehouse in Thatcham. In addition to this, they are responsible for the re-pack function on our automated packing equipment.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all online orders generated from TVDC stock are physically and systematically picked promptly and with accuracy.
- Ensuring the re-pack function is carried out smoothly, presenting all online orders to either the manual or automated pack teams efficiently.
- Analysing ways in which the TVDC online pick operation could be more efficient through better use of technology and inventory placement within the distribution centre.
- To carefully manage the re-pack zone to reduce congestion and ensure a steady flow of orders to the packing teams.
- Working closely with management colleagues in other areas of distribution to ensure that the SLAs are adhered to and that the KPIs are achieved.
About You
You will have great communication and leadership skills as you will be working with a variety of different people to ensure the timely and accurate delivery. You will be a confident leader who can support the team and be able to suggest relevant alternative solutions with quick thinking and the ability to take initiative. You will be a valuable team player who thrives on getting the job done. Ecommerce background and distribution experience would be beneficial but not essential to the role.
