Main purpose of role

The job holder is responsible for manufacturing various hoses to the highest quality standards in a consistently safe manner, whilst achieving company’s delivery expectations. The job holder will be expected to learn all aspects of hose making including Silicone, Industrial, standard hose, elbows and stripping.
Training and supporting will be given to achieve this.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacturer of high-quality hose on a consistent basis ensuring all safe systems of work are adhered to at all times.
• Correct packing of finished products paying close attention to part numbers.
• Picking and packing of Transfer Orders
• Correct use of PPE at all times.
• Report H&S improvements and/or near misses to line manager
• Ensuring all manufactured product conforms consistently to quality standards.
• Ensure work schedule is achieved each week and high output standards are consistently met.
• Undertake a flexible approach to working hours ensuring output and customer requirements are met.
• Support team in creating SWP’s and use as training aids.
• Undertake other tasks as identified by the business, which are generally in line with the interests and overall development of the Company as a whole.
• Maintaining Weekly Safety Checks.
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards using 6S principles and auditing.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Look to improve and develop own skills and ability
• Maintain a professional attitude towards other staff at all times.
