The purpose of the role

Maintain the efficient and safe running of assigned production lines, ensuring that all set up and running procedures are adhered to at all times whilst maintaining product quality and meeting all operational KPI’s
We operate a continental shift patter of 4 days on and 4 days off, days and nights rotation. 12-hour shifts
Responsibilities

• Ensures that all production processes and activities are set and run in a manner which maximises quality, efficiency, and safety (both human and food) whilst meeting or exceeding operational KPI’s
• Actively supports the company’s quality and continuous improvement programmes to ensure productivity improvements and reduction/ removal of non-value-added activities and unnecessary non line tasks.
• To ensure standards of GMP are adhered to using the 5S programme.
• Ensure that all company and departmental standards and guidelines are consistently adhered to within his/her team (e.g., H&S, hygiene, PPE housekeeping, handovers)
• To ensure downtime and wastage in all forms are minimised wherever possible.
• To ensure the consistent production of high-quality product, prioritising First Time Quality
• The planning and organising of both his /her own time, resources, and workload in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Check posting in Baan is closed correctly with quantity and hours
• Liaise with the team leader to ensure that any deviation or changes in production requirements are communicated and carried out accordingly.
• Set up/ changeover times are met as per plans.
• Ensure work instructions are adhered to, in order to achieve daily targets in a competent manner.
• To ensure any consumable used e.g., slip sheet, pail, bag, pallet liner, bag liner, box is itemised to the relevant batch to eradicate future accumulative adjustments.
• To adopt a clean as you go policy whilst carrying out their duties to help ensure their working area is always audit ready.
• To actively report any substandard work method, machinery, material, measurement, or environmental problem that may prevent them or any fellow employee from doing their duties.
• Working with the Griffith Continuous Improvement Team to strive for improvements in the performance of the resources available i.e., plant, equipment, people.
• To be aware of and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
• To undertake any other associated duties which may occasionally arise.

Requirements

• Good communication and presentation skill
• Demonstrated ability to work without immediate and constant supervision
• PC skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel. Baan
• Excellent team player
• High level of verbal and numerical literacy.
• Basic food hygiene certificate.
• Fluency in English
