Lecturer in Landscaping

Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. We currently have a turnover of over £50 million making us a major employer in the region with approximately 1,000 staff. The role:

• Part-Time (22.2 hours per week)
• Permanent
• £22,581 - £44,442 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
• Tycoch campus

Key Responsibilities:

• To deliver Landscaping and Eco-Construction qualifications at level 1 and level 2
• Actively contribute to the 14 - 16 curriculum
• Ensure teaching and learning strategies and teaching materials are planned as well as accessible to meet the varied needs of all learners

About you:

• Qualified teacher with experience of working with hard to reach learners
• Enthusiasm and passion for the outdoors /sustainable horticulture / landscaping and eco construction
• Excellent learner management skills coupled with the tenacity, commitment and patience to deal with a variety of learners, many with ALN and challenging behaviour.
