Marketing Coordinator

LOCATION: Tacloban City, Philippines & Remote (International Applicants Welcome!)

TIME COMMITMENT:

• Full-time, salaried position
• Start date is flexible, but ideally August 2023
• Initial 2 year commitment preferred
• Expected to work at GAPLabs Office in Tacloban City, Philippines for a minimum of 3-6 months to start (TBD based on candidate, but will be preferred that you come and establish a working relationship with the team)
• In the Philippines Office: 36 hours per week, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesday to Friday (Mondays off) + one Monday per month for Team Day Activity
• While Remote: 40 hours per week on an agreed upon schedule

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in digital marketing, content marketing, and/or brand marketing; experience in a marketing role or in other related positions
• Degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or relevant field; certification in sales or marketing will be an asset
• Native or high proficiency in English
• Excellent computer skills, with experience using: MS Office, G Suite, Social Media, Google Analytics, CRM Systems, Project Management Systems
• Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A team player with high level of dedication
• Must be detail oriented with strong attention to follow-through
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Experience traveling to a developing country is preferred
• Passion for travel and varied travel experiences (ex. study abroad or volunteer abroad) is preferred

OBJECTIVE:

The primary objective of this position is to build awareness for GoAbroad and promote user acquisition (sign ups) on the MyGoAbroad website through coordinated marketing initiatives. This role will also focus on various aspects of content marketing and digital media that will include, but are not limited to: email marketing, B2B marketing, social media, rich media creation, written content creation, editing, and outreach projects.

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Focus on user acquisition for GoAbroad.com and MyGoAbroad through coordinated marketing campaigns; examples may include:Digital marketing campaigns and giveaways

Social media and email marketing campaigns
Creating and implementing lead generation initiatives
Implementing and overseeing influencer and/or ambassador campaigns
Digital content creation

• Contribute to quality control of all marketing efforts, user facing marketing campaigns, and communication with users and/or clients as necessary for these efforts
• Identify new marketing opportunities throughout the website and digital assets
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop, maintain, and ensure use of standard operating procedures for marketing efforts
• Work with team members to develop and understand digital marketing strategies that will meet client & user objectives
• Develop and write marketing content to be deployed across marketing channels
• Analyze metrics to create insights that will help drive digital marketing strategies
• Promote thought leadership in the field of international education and the meaningful travel industry
• Remain up-to-date on travel industry trends and be willing to help drive and implement strategies company-wide
• Potential to attend international conferences and industry events
• Other projects and tasks as assigned
