Social Media Manager & Content Creator

GINX operates the world's largest esports tv channel (25+ million homes) as well as ginx.tv, a fast-growing online platform with 3m+ monthly unique users. We also produce content for 3rd-parties.

As Social Media Manager & Content Creator, youll be part of a bustling team responsible for all our video content. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to develop, present, edit and post video content for GINXs YouTube, TikTok and Instagram accounts, and to keep our followers engaged and entertained. We want you to help us grow our community 10-fold over the next 12 months.

Were looking for someone who possesses a broad range of skills within social media and content creation, and is keen to get their hands dirty in any part of the process.

Application

• We think that to be able to fully benefit from all our tech infrastructure and skills of the wider team, youll need to work full time from our London office (based near Kings Cross). However, there may well be days youd rather get your head down to prep content and work from home. Thats totally OK
• To be an authentic and authoritative voice in gaming, you need to have keen interest in and passion for video games, please demonstrate that in glorious detail your application letter

• You will have worked on gaming social media accounts previously, and will have a good understanding of YouTube's algorithmic intricacies and SEO in general. Please include evidence of your experience/skills in your letter

Responsibilities

• Appear on camera and/or via voiceover for content on GINXs YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and TV accounts/channels
• Manage the GINX YouTube, TikTok and Instagram accounts, including uploading, meta tagging and editing of video content and imagery
• Creation of thumbnails, memes, gifs and other content to grow social audiences

• Help with the ideation and creation of new content and formats for all platforms
• Manage your production schedule to ensure a regular cadence of content
• Source and interview guests
• Attend shoots, both in studio and on location as and when required
• Compile monthly analytics reports that inform action for growth

Key Requirements

• A fantastic passion for video games and esports, as well as extensive knowledge of a wide range of games, across all genres
• Confidence in presenting to camera, and ability to clearly articulate information to audiences at pace
• Ability to produce and edit video content to high standards, especially when under time constraints
• Ability to balance multiple projects at once

• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• A clear understanding of best practice methods for content creation on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram
• Ability to compile reports accurately and stay organised in a high volume and high turnaround environment
• A passion for digital content and an awareness of the latest trends on socials

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience with operating cameras
• Working knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premier Pro
• Proficient with graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, to help create thumbnails for all content
• Experience of managing a YouTube, Instagram or TikTok channel and all associated content.
• Knowledge of the video games industry and where possible contacts who work in the sector

• Voiceover scriptwriting experience
• Game capture experience (using OBS)
• A willingness to have fun and play games with your colleagues! (We also politely request that you not be too good, so that its still fun for the rest of us...)
