Roles and Responsibilities

• Partnering with the Operations, Engineering and Lean teams to optimise processes for the introduction of the new components and repairs, while meeting all repair manual and regulatory requirements.

• Work with Engineering router team & Lean team to establish best flow for repair process documentation when implementing new repairs.

• Work closely with the Gate teams/Process owners and engineering to identify suitable Component Repair and Accessory Industrialisation projects that meet the strategic needs of the business and to justify the business case through data driven evaluation.

• Work closely with Special Process Owners to evaluate Repair document (RD) requirements and to manage through to completion individual and multiple projects on time, per budget and in adherence to GE Aviation Management of Change (MOC) requirements.

• Provide detailed information to support P&E spend and Internal Review Board (IRB) approval process.

• Providing labour information through collaboration with the shop regarding content on new repairs.

• Utilising state of the art technology for NPI processes, inclusive of additive 3D printing for prototyping and other applications through the repair process.

• Ensure good working relationships bring efficiency, quality, and standardisation through liaison between Shop operations teams, Engineering and Quality management.

• Interface with internal moonshine manufacturing team, sourcing and external vendors/suppliers for fixture quotes and material supplies.

Required Qualifications

• Should have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship or qualified to degree level in engineering, manufacturing or business.

Desired Characteristics

• Good understanding of manufacturing and inspection tools and processes used in the repair business.

• Transparent individual who is a team player and has extremely good communication style.
