REPORTING TO: Hotel Manager.

HOURS: Full-time, shift patterns ranging from morning, afternoon, evening, and weekends.

LOCATION: The Old Inn, 15-25 Main Street, Crawfordsburn, Bangor

SALARY: £12.00 per hour

About the role:

We are looking for a Door Person to join our fantastic Front of House team at The Old Inn. The individual we are looking for must have great customer service skills and a genuinely friendly attitude. We welcome a wide range of guests through our front door, from couples coming to check in for their overnight stays to families arriving to dine in one of the restaurants, groups celebrating a special occasion in one of our suites, or customers coming to purchase gift vouchers.

It is important therefore that the Door Person on shift makes a memorable first impression and is able to direct guests efficiently to their desired area of the Resort. We strive to go above and beyond for all our guests so if you enjoy customer interactions and meeting new and different people every day then this could be the job for you!

Job Description:

The main responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Being present outside the hotel's main entrance, greeting and opening doors for incoming and outgoing guests and clients in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assisting and taking luggage etc. out of cars/taxis in a courteous manner.
• Aiding guests and visitors in various ways such as providing directions & information, and any other activities in a given day.
• Ensuring that the outside areas of the hotel's main entrance are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and appearance at all times.
• Offering an outstanding level of consistent, friendly, and efficient customer care to all guests and visitors to the Resort.
• Acting as an ambassador for the Resort and continuing to display a commitment to enhancing the customer experience.
• Valet parking

The Person:

Essential criteria, applicants must:

• Have previous experience working in a customer-facing role preferably within the Hospitality Industry.
• Have a keen interest and preferably experience in providing exceptional customer service.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A full clean driver's licence.
• Have strong teamwork skills.
• Have the ability to prioritise their time and the importance of various tasks.
• Possess sound knowledge of the local area.
• Display a flexible work approach as shifts vary from morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend work.
