We are looking for an Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team and manage the Electrical Department.

Here’s what you will be doing:

• 
  Carry out the duties of an industrial electrician (Installation of Small power and lighting systems, Installation of High Voltage Switchgear & Equipment).
• To include multicore wring, earthing, small wiring.
• fabrication work with cable tray, ladder rack etc.
• Site work will be required to complete installations, testing and as-built documentation.
• Gain an understanding of electrical installation designs.
• Install all types of commonly used wiring and wiring accessories.
• Electrical installations both single phase and three phase.
• Carry out mechanical fitting and assembling works relevant to HV switchgear, and machine or fabricate parts for such equipment. For example: Multicore cabling, Tray work, Conduit etc.
• Install meters, instruments, relays, and protection equipment.
• Install earthing for containerised sub stations.
• inspect, test, commission and maintain electrical installation and equipment.
• Correctly instruct, supervise, and transfer skill to any apprentice and semi-skilled worker assigned to him to ensure safety and quality of work.
• Site installation works when containerised sub-station is installation on site.

Here’s what we need from you:

• Interest in the electrical industry installing LV.
• Knowledge of relevant and up to date Health and safety standards processes and procedures.
• Good team player.
• Full driving licence.
• Flexibility to travel.

Desirable

• Experience working with HV including switchgear, transformers, generators, sub stations etc.
• City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Electrical installations.
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing.
• City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Be able to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.

Important Information

• You will attend college to gain the qualifications for the role while learning out on the field.
• The role itself will support the Electrical supervisor in completing electrical tasks as part of G2E wider projects.
