FullFibre is an upcoming and leading alt-net telecommunication company that specialises in providing cutting-edge fibre optic broadband services to business and residential customers. We are looking for a talented and motivated Data Scientist with experience in the R programming language to unlock insights from our vast amounts of data.


Data Scientist


As Data Scientist you will support the team in further developing and maintaining a proprietary spatial network analysis tool written in R. You will be responsible for handling, processing, and analysing large and complex data for our fibre optic broadband services and provide insights into business operations.


Working closely with other team members you will design and implement data-driven solutions that help us better understand, optimise, and improve our service offerings and develop predictive models, identify patterns and trends that inform business decisions.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyse large and complex data sets related to our fibre optic broadband services to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Create reports, dashboards and presentations that highlight key insights and recommendations for business improvement.
  • Present data visualisations and dashboard insights to key stakeholders
  • Develop predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques to drive business decisions.
  • Further, develop algorithms to automate the design process of our fibre optic telecoms network.
  • Automate the optimisation of costings and routing designs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to design and implement data-driven solutions
  • Work with data engineers to ensure data quality and integrity


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, STEM, or a related field
  • Proficiency in the R programming language with proven ability
  • Strong analytics skills and attention to detail
  • Experience and knowledge of either; geospatial, data analysis, network analysis, statistical analysis, or machine learning techniques
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge and experience in SQL and database technologies
