Assistant Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Management Accountant newly or part qualified AAT/ACCA/CIMA for our client a Agricultural Business based in Mid Kent .

The Role

With this role you will be required to prepare Weekly Financial Reports and Monthly Management Accounts for presentation to the Group , whilst taking responsibility for the ERP system being updated accurately ensuring harvesting data reconciles whilst building the administrative budgets of the company with the FC

The Candidate

Newly or part qualified management accountant AAT/ACCA/CIMA with previous experience of working in a busy dynamic office environment . In this role you will also be required to travel to the company’s other 3 sites when required which are based in Kent , West Sussex and Gloucestershire and must have Excellent Microsoft Excel understanding, Strong numerical & verbal communication skills, with previous Fresh Produce & Prophet experience desirable

Job Description

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare weekly financial performance reporting and present to farming teams / stakeholders
• Prepare monthly Management Accounts for presentation to the Group with emphasis on variances to agreed budgets and previous forecasts referencing financial, KPI and non-financial data
• Prepare supporting management account files such as fixed asset registers, balance sheet recs, utility & fertiliser trackers
• Prepare finance pack and KPI reporting on weekly and monthly schedules
• Treasury control via regular cash flow reporting, currency reconciliations and forecasts
• Preparation of ad hoc reporting, creation of documents for new reporting requirements and monthly expense/ general ledger trackers

Financial System:

• Ensure that purchase order data within the Prophet ERP system is maintained and finalised regularly to ensure that the Company’s MI is up to date and accurate
• Ensure that all parts of the ERP system are updated including all accruals, cubes, automated/manual reports and processes
• Ensure harvesting data in Crop Picker reconciles to despatch data and recorded correctly in ERP system for accurate reporting
• Administer the Groups monthly expenses through Concur

Financial Oversight:

• Jointly build the administration budgets of the company with the Financial Controller
• Have full ownership of updating rolling forecasts to provide year end estimations and cropping season estimations
• Prepare all required auditing requirements in coordination with the accounts team
• Ensure key information is communicated to team members for reporting at the group level
• Key oversight of direct growing costs and energy costs both of which are key to the business

Team:

• Support the accounts team to ensure that all financial data within the ERP system is correct and that resource is used effectively
• Provide cover and support to other members of the department as required
• Undertake any ad hoc analysis as required by management
• Ensure continued self-development by communicating effectively with Financial Controller
