Traffic Management Operative

FM Conway is looking for a Traffic Management Operative to work within the Sittingbourne area. Working within our Water and Drainage division, this a permanent job with a competitive salary and range of benefits.

The Traffic Management Operative Role

We are searching for individuals to be able to install, maintain and remove traffic management in line with RAMS, Chapter 8 TSM and Safety at Street Works and Road Works – A Code of Practice. The typical setups will include, road closures and diversions, lane closures, contraflows, and narrow lane setups.

Responsibilities as our Traffic Management Operative

• Ability to take instruction from the TMF/LTMO or TSCO and other members of supervisory and management staff
• Appropriately action in the event of an emergency, particularly ensuring the appropriate persons are notified and to report these incidents using the correct company procedure
• Participating in an out of hours call out rota
• Actively report near misses using various means including our mobile application

What we’re looking for in our Traffic Management Operative

The successful candidate will possess a driving license, a valid CSCS card and a Lantra 12D ticket/street works unit 2. A Safety Critical Medical certificate would be advantageous as well as traffic management experience.
