Streetworks Assistant

FM Conway is seeking a Streetworks Assistant to join our successful Term Maintenance division. As our Streetworks Assistant you will manage and raise Streetworks permits on weekends and bank holidays on behalf of our local authority clients, its agents and utility companies throughout London. This is a permanent role working every Saturday and Sunday and the post-holder must also be available to cover bank holidays.

You will be joining a fast paced, innovative construction company. FM Conway is a family run business with 60 years’ experience of creating sustainable and innovative transportation solutions.

Responsibilities of our Streetworks Assistant

• Submitting start and stop notices via the system Street Manager

• Ensuring full compliance with the requirements of the Traffic Management Act

• Liaising with Streetworks Officers on all programmed weekend and bank holiday routine maintenance or scheme work to ensure accurate records

• Collecting and maintaining records, managing data and performance information and providing accurate data entry into internal and external systems

• Utilising digital solutions to despatch jobs to operative’s mobile devices

• Supporting other divisions with weekend tasks including but not limited to timesheet input and new starter data entry

What we’re looking for in our Streetworks Assistant

You will have excellent customer service skills and experience in using Microsoft Office. Strong organisational skills are essential for this role with the ability to prioritise your workload accordingly. Experience in a similar Streetworks role would be ideal but this is not essential.
