Solicitor Apprenticeship

Fletchers Solicitors Ltd have a fantastic opportunity for Solicitor Apprentices to join our growing team!

Location: One of our 4 offices; Southport, Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool

We are one of the countrys leading consumer law firms acquired by an affiliate of Sun European Partners LLP, whose focus is on growing our already successful business considerably in the next few years.

As we gear up for growth, we are adding to our already successful team to start our new financial year strongly. We are looking for the right person to be part of a growing/thriving team.

If you have a passion for all things legal and are looking for your first step in a legal career then this could be the role for you!

In return Fletchers can offer:

  • A competitive salary based on your experience
  • A bonus scheme paid twice a year (subject to targets being met)
  • Pension scheme with tax-efficient salary sacrifice option
  • 35 days holiday a year including bank holidays from start - and we close for the Christmas break and there is an option to purchase up to 3 extra days holiday per year. There are also 3 days additional holiday for long service (awarded in the 5th, 7th and 9th full year of employment)
  • Enhanced company sick pay scheme
  • Flexible, agile working environment with a positive work-life balance
  • Varied calendar of funded company social events
  • Monthly voucher awards
  • Development opportunities.
  • Fully supported throughout the apprenticeship

The six-year Solicitor Apprenticeship, in partnership with The University of Law (ULaw), aims to give aspiring young trainees, who may have found the financial cost of a traditional university route a deterrent, the opportunity to have a successful career in law.

The scheme will allow trainees to gain hands on experience in the legal environment, whilst completing an undergraduate degree (LLB, Hons), and a Solicitor Qualifying Exam Legal Practice Course (SQE) at ULaw, include SQE1 and SQE2 as well as a period of recognised training. By the end of the 6 years you will be a qualified solicitor.

The scheme enables you to qualify whilst earning a salary, meaning you dont have to pay for tuition fees and can, instead, earn whilst you learn.

You will be based in one of our offices employed to work 5 days a week, being a combination of working from home and in the office, with 1 day being dedicated to study.

The successful candidate will gain experience in our onboarding team then move to one of our legal departments. They will spend time in either our medical negligence department, personal injury department or private client department (or a combination). During the training the firm will provide many opportunities for development and experience.

The firms medical negligence team handle thousands of claims on behalf of victims of medical negligence. The team deal with the full spectrum of clients, incidents, and injuries from surgical errors to cosmetic and dental issues, all the way through to serious, life changing negligence.

The personal injury team specialise in serious injuries, often arising for motorcycle accidents, as well as a growing team dealing with employers liability and public liability claims.

The private client department is growing across our locations and specialises in deputyships, trusteeships, obtaining Grants and Lasting Power of Attorneys along with drafting wills.
