About The Role

Falmouth University are seeking to recruit a Lecturer (Module Leader) for our level 6 critical studies module for our BA (Hons) Illustration course team on our Woodlane campus within The Falmouth School of Art. This exciting role will coincide with the roll out of a newly refreshed course structure and will include, the development of the course’s integrated critical studies curriculum, content creation and delivery of the Dissertation module in level 6 of the course.

Delivery takes the form of lectures, academic workshops and individual/group tutorials to support the students learning and provide ongoing formative feedback. You will work closely with the course team to align level 6 critical studies with the course narrative and vision and utilise innovative learning and teaching methods to support students in developing their research, critical analysis and writing skills.

This role will also involve responsibilities related to assisting the Course Leader and other Critical Studies staff to coordinate and support the development of each student’s Critical Studies journey throughout the three years of their course, personal tutoring, and more widely, teaching policy. You may also be required to assess some 1st and 2nd year essays and if appropriate to your research, you may also be involved in the supervision of doctoral candidates. All Lecturers are encouraged to engage in research and innovation. You can find the description of this module on our curriculum management system here.
