We have a unique opportunity for a Gym Manager with a Level 2 fitness qualification or higher education sport, fitness or leisure related degree who is dedicated in delivering memorable service to our guests all day every day.

The Gym Manager is responsible for the oversight of the fitness, group training areas, membership and additional wellness practitioners providing wellness services to the hotel in line with the brand’s wellness concept. This includes daily leadership of the wellness teams supporting the overall spa, pool and fitness teams in all hotel guest, spa guest and membership driven activities. The Gym Manager will need to work closely with the Head of Spa Therapy to ensure the quality of the guest experience as well as be an inspiration to the team when leading and overseeing the daily operations.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of a REPs or CIMSPA recognised level 2 Fitness Qualification or Higher Education sport, fitness, or leisure related degree. A level 3 personal trainer certification through a nationally recognised organisation is also an asset.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the fitness-wellness fields. Experience in 5-star luxury is an asset as well as a proven track record experience at leading fitness teams.
• Recent experience in instructing on a 1:1 and leading exercise in an adult fitness setting, using proper form and spotting techniques.
• Experience in administering PAR-Q, health risk and history, fitness assessments, and client consultation.
• Multi-talented individual with experience in group class instruction.
• Service focused with the ability to build rapport and engage with guests and team members alike. Experience in working in a guest focused environment with the ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• A natural ability to motivate and inspire wellness team members.
• Interest and experience in a lifestyle wellness philosophy that incorporates the balanced basics of food, water, rest, and activity.
