Drivers Mate

Evergreen Secure Shredding + Recycling is one of South West's leading security shredding companies providing a personal, ethical, reliable & sustainable service to our customers.

We are seeking to recruit a Driver Mate to assist with the collection of security shredding + recycling material from our customers, and helping with production as required.

Job Summary:

• Supporting the driver with collections of confidential waste & recycling from various businesses then bringing back to depot for destruction and recycling. Production assistance, supporting back at the depot in destruction room, decanting bins, boxes, bags for shredding and recycling, other production and housekeeping duties as required.
• After successful completion of training programme and probationary period, successful applicant would be offered to be put through their HGV class2 driving test to allow them to progress to driver, depending on applicant and compliance with our insurers conditions. Great career development onto secure driver 3.5t, 7.5t, LGV Cat2.

Key skills & experience:

Candidate must be willing to learn all aspects of the job role to gain expected knowledge of how to complete all collections.

• Physically fit collecting bags, wheeled containers and archive boxes on to the lorry and decanting back at the secure depot.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• Customer Service focused. The position will be attractive to self-motivated people who derive satisfaction from providing a quality personal service to our customers.
• Administration skills - filling in accurate secure Waste Transfer Notes.
• Good communicator with the ability to follow instructions and adhere to Health and Safety and security procedures.
• Team player - working with colleagues to achieve tasks, using initiative to get the job done safely.
• On site training given.
• Applicants must pass security vetting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, 45 hours per week Monday to Friday

Hourly pay: £10.70 per hour.

Holiday: 29 days, including bank holidays
