Part Time Care Assistant £9.50 per hour plus bonus

• 24 hours per week days/weekends late sifts and earlies

Evergreen is a small independent care home for the elderly, mostly occupied by private guests. We have undergone extensive refurbishment and an extension and further expansion plans are currently in the pipeline. The home provides residential, respite and day care services. Your role:

Is to provide Support cover whilst on shift and your duties will include, working alongside the Assistant Manager, to provide the highest levels of care, ensuring that care plans are followed accordingly, and acting as a key worker for guests (following the training manual and care plans), supporting with personal care, ensuring social and emotional needs are met. The applicant must be understanding and patient towards guests needs, encouraging and assisting guests to partake in leisure activities and updating and maintaining accurate guest’s records and ensure that any changes in physical and mental wellbeing are reported to the Managers.

You will also be responsible to ensure that you and other care staff comply with all relevant Health and Safety requirements, COSHH and infection control and be alert to a resident`s safety.

You will need to have:

Previous experience and ideally a knowledge of working with older adults.

Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care.
