Physics YouTube Channel Junior Researcher/Fact Checker - Veritasium

Veritasium is one of the largest Physics and science education YouTube channels in the world, with content spanning a decade and more than 2 billion lifetime views. We create videos for a curious, engaged audience that never stops asking the big questions.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Researcher and Fact Checker to join our remote digital video team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research, a passion for Physics, and a keen eye for detail. The candidate will be reporting to the Producer and responsible for researching and fact-checking content for the channel, ensuring that all videos are accurate, informative, and engaging.

Tasks

• Research and fact-check topics around Physics and Maths, ensuring that all information is accurate, reliable, and up-to-date
• Work closely with the production team to support the development of new ideas and assist in the creation of scripts
• Monitor the latest developments in the field of Physics and identify potential new topics for the channel
• Ensure that all content adheres to the channel's and YouTube's standards and guidelines

Requirements

• Excellent research, reading comprehension, and fact-checking skills
• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Proficiency in using research databases and online tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A background in Physics, Maths, or Engineering is preferred
• Familiarity with video production is a plus
