Position Summary

Fixed Term Contract - 12 months
Field based - South West England (covering Bristol & Birmingham as key cities. Must have easy access to M5).

We require a passionate and enthusiastic Brand Development Manager (BDM) to drive the growth of our portfolio presence in the key accounts in the UK to ensure delivery of our Company Goal – to be UK’s fastest-growing, most admired premium spirits portfolio. Your role will be to take ownership of a geographic area and achieve distribution, visibility, activation and account engagement KPIs within your area of responsibility, ultimately increasing consumer` awareness, rate of sale and delivering profit, volume and market share increases.

This role will have specific focus on premium and luxury on-trade customer as well as the leading Regional Multiple Operators. You will work alongside the Key Account Manager to maximise opportunities that drive brand availability, exceptional consumer experiences with our Premium Brands while driving value for the company and the customer
Job Description
To act as a company and brand ambassador, owning your region by being seen as a credible and knowledgeable person to the trade, whilst maximising opportunities for the joint benefit of us and our customers.

Account Management
  • Become the expert in your area by developing an effective strategy in line with our outlet segmentation model
  • Maintain the optimal account base and achieve the agreed contact strategy for your customers
  • Maximise opportunities by uncovering new business opportunities in the Region.
  • Use category led sales data to influence and drive distribution of our key brands
  • Create consumer experiences as well brand visibility opportunities in line with agreed brand strategy and objectives.
  • Deliver the agreed distribution and execution plans for your customers, your region and your brands
  • Facilitate the brand knowledge of all key stake holders within your account base

Relationship Management
  • Align with your customers to build mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Liaise with local Suppliers and Wholesalers and key influencers on a monthly basis to share local information and work collaboratively.
  • Develop relationships with key internal colleagues.

Systems, Administration and Reporting
  • Utilise budgetary allocation effectively in line with current objectives
  • Implement, run and follow up on support packages to maximise return on investment.
  • Manage the trade promotion and accrual process for your customer.
  • Accurately record and maintain the Salesforce system ensuring all relevant data is captured, monitored and utilised.

Training and Education
  • Inspire and engage customers through brand, serve and category training
Skills and Experience
This is a diverse role and successful candidates will need to thrive on the challenge of variety and pace within this exciting and dynamic industry. As well as being highly motivated and commercially astute, candidates should demonstrate the following to enable them to succeed in the role:

  • Passionate about working and developing your career within the on trade and spirits industry
  • Some industry knowledge from a drinks business or luxury business (within marketing or sales) would be advantageous

  • High level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Hours may vary so some flexibility with working hours is required
  • Willingness to travel the territory and overnight stays will be required
