Your role and responsibilities
With a large, varied, and exciting Internal Medicine caseload, we are seeking one further colleague to join our ECVIM-CA Residency-training programme in July/August 2023.
Dick White Referrals is a state-of-the-art, private referral institution located in Cambridgeshire. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of specialists, residents, and interns (anaesthesia, cardiology, cardiac surgery, clinical pathology, veterinary pathology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, physiotherapy, and soft tissue surgery).
The successful candidate will work as part of our team of 5 Residents and receive direct training and supervision from our 5 ECVIM/ACVIM Diplomates and 2 Post residency clinicians. The Resident will also be supported by a team of 5 dedicated internal medicine nurses.
Dick White Referrals has modern equipment including 24/7 availability, an in-house laboratory and with on-site clinical pathologists, radiography, ultrasonography, echocardiography, MRI, CT and fluoroscopy. And the most exciting, we are expanding our facilities in 2023!
The successful candidate will benefit from both a busy and dynamic clinical environment and formal training. Residents will participate in hospital rounds, journal clubs, book clubs and are encouraged to attend continuing professional development sessions provided by senior members of staff and to be enrolled in research.

About us
Founded in 2003 by Professor Dick White, and now part of the Linnaeus Group, DWR has grown rapidly to become the largest private veterinary referral hospital in the UK. DWR is a busy, purpose-built specialist referral-only small animal veterinary hospital providing 24/7 referral-only services for patients across England, via our dedicated team of world-class clinicians, RVNs and support colleagues. The hospital is fully equipped with the latest surgical equipment and diagnostic facilities commensurate with a flagship specialist veterinary hospital.

Applications
Applicants to the program will be selected on the basis of their written application (CV and covering letter), reference letters (2) and an interview. Applicants should have a 12-month rotating internship and ideally 2 years of experience in small animal practice. The candidate must be eligible to work in the UK and be a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
The successful candidate will be expected to start in Summer 2023 (exact date to be discussed).
