What about your role?

We have an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the Finance function.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join one of our most successful and lo standing contracts at Jaguar Land Rover who will control aspects of the Finance function ensuring accurate and timely reporting to internal DHL stakeholders. You will provide accurate information and administrative support to the Operations team and wider DHL for your selected customer(s).

As a Finance Manager, your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include the following:

• Business partner the operational GM's across all relevant sites and departments to provide financial support, align financial and operational data in order to assist the understanding of performance and deliver financial expectations
• Weekly quicks reports - assist direct reports in providing detailed commentary that explains key variances to budget. Lead weekly review meetings with operational teams and challenge any decisions that has a financial impact. Be the key financial stakeholder at operational meetings
• Month-end trading, supporting the team with month-end processes, explain key variances to budget. To include period commentary and Latest Estimate for the following period
• Preparation of weekly accounts and KPIs
• Management of month-end process and reporting results to multiple stakeholders
• Preparing budgets, forecasts and targets to identify trends and variances to budgets / forecasts
• Management of site Finance functions
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best practice
• Working closely with Operations Managers in understanding key cost drivers of contract profitability
• Providing appropriate analysis and recommendations to influence key decisions
• Reviewing key risks and identifying potential risks
• Ensuring financial controls are robust and fit for purpose
• Supporting the Financial Controller / Commercial teams

What are the requirements?

• Proven track record in a similar level role with experience of the above requirements
• Ability to influence key decision makers at all levels
• Excellent knowledge of accounting processes and terminology
• Oracle a real bonus but not essential
• People management experience and excellent communication skills
• Hold relevant financial qualifications (AAT / CIMA etc.), be training towards them or be qualified by experience
