Shifts: This role will operate on our afternoon shift - Monday to Thursday 2.00pm to 12.20am.
Salary: £21,294 per annum

*A bit about the role*
We’re looking for people who are excited to make themselves at DFS; to learn and grow a career with us. Our Trainee Sewing Machinist opportunity will give you all the tools to learn a skill for life, through classroom sessions, on-the-job learning, and mentorship. At the end of your apprenticeship you’ll have a formal Sewing qualification and plenty of first-hand experience.

This role really suits people who are comfortable working with their hands. You need to be interested in handcrafting and committed to your own learning. At the end of the 12 month apprenticeship programme, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for a role in our factories, so a desire to build a career with us would be good.
We’re looking for people who have:

• A positive attitude,
• A desire to learn and improve,
• Comfortable working both as a team and on your own,
• Great attention to detail — you’ll be making furniture that’s handmade to your customer’s specifications,
• Comfortable in receiving feedback in order to aid development
