This role is part of our Personalised Creative team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients including eBay, Ancestry, Walmart, and more!
JOB PURPOSE:
As an Email Developer you will be responsible for the development of email marketing campaigns for our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create email templates with mobile responsive functionality
- Ability to hand code standards-compliant code
- Follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases
- Translate UI designs/wireframes into pixel perfect code
- Develop and test across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smartphones and tablets
- Work with designers, producers, QA and other development team members and manage time across multiple projects and tasks in a deadline-driven, team environment
- Able to make quick decisions and solve technical problems to deliver projects on time
SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience coding email templates using HTML and CSS
- Email client limitations and workarounds
- Media queries and mobile specific coding
- Attention to detail is a must
- Experience using command line tools
- HTML templating syntax such as Handlebars/EJS
- Experience using testing tools such as Litmus/Email on Acid
- Source version control software (Git, CVS, SVN). We use Git
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Working knowledge of Figma or Sketch is desirable
