Job description

Connect to your Industry

The NSE A&A Delivery Centre programs offers the opportunity to work as part of a team that is leading the industry in how Audit is performed across multiple regions in NSE including the Netherlands, Belgium and Ireland. This means engaging senior leadership across the firm on a regular basis to support the execution of our Delivery Centre strategy. Delivery Centres are also a key part of our Audit Quality agenda at Deloitte in delivering audits.

Being part of this team will mean getting to work with businesses across the NSE network at different levels of Delivery Centre maturity and help them to promote best practice and move along their integration journey. As part of FP&A, you will be joining a highly regarded team who have developed significant business knowledge and combine this with our expertise in data to drive strategy forward.

Connect to your career at Deloitte

Deloitte drives progress. Using our vast range of expertise, that covers audit, risk advisory, and consulting services across tax, legal, business, technology and corporate finance, we help our clients become leaders wherever they choose to compete. To do this, we invest in outstanding people. We build teams of future thinkers, with diverse talents and backgrounds, and empower them all to reach for and achieve more.

What brings us all together at Deloitte? It’s how we approach the thousands of decisions we make every day. How we behave, our beliefs and our attitudes. In other words: our values. Whatever we do, wherever we are in the world, we lead the way, serve with integrity, take care of each other, foster inclusion, and collaborate for measurable impact. These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most.

Connect to your opportunity

The Audit Delivery Centres (ADCs) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function plays a pivotal role in the management of ADCs both for the UK firm and across geographies within the North South Europe (NSE) business. The FP&A team use their commercial knowledge and expertise in data and analysis to provide insights and reporting to Audit & Assurance leadership to support the firm’s strategy of the highest and best use of Delivery Centres.

As Assistant Manager within the FP&A function, you will have the opportunity to use your knowledge and experience to own the production of the reporting and analysis we produce across the team and drive innovation in how we deliver work.

Each NSE geography has its own set of Delivery Centre stakeholders, who are at different stages of their strategic journey, and so part of your role will be to work with them to support the specific needs of their business, while also establishing standardized reporting to measure their success against our strategic NSE targets.

You will have the opportunity to coach and mentor your direct reports and support them in their career progression with a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the team. You will also receive support from your team leaders and work with them to set out a clear vision of how FP&A supports the Delivery Centre strategy in future.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

As Assistant Manager, you will:

  • Own the production of monthly reporting across NSE geographies on strategic Delivery Centre KPIs such as actuals and forecast hours and utilization.
  • Coordinate with geography Business Partners, Deliver Centre Operations teams and other NSE stakeholders to produce and enhance reporting on the use of DC’s across the firm.
  • Deliver and communicate insights and analysis from the reporting we produce across a range of stakeholder levels.
  • Build effective relationships across a global stakeholder network and leverage your network to support our team.
  • Coach and manage junior team members in the delegation of work and to support their professional development.
  • Use your knowledge of our strategic goals and your technical skills to drive innovation in the reporting and analysis we produce.

Essentials:

  • Excellent attention to detail and the personal motivation to perform to the highest standards.
  • Strong organizational skills: to prioritize work and confidently manage conflicting demands to meet deadlines and stakeholder needs.

Experience of:

  • Creating presentational analysis to drive action across stakeholder groups.
  • Presenting and communicating analysis and insight to senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Audit and Assurance industry.

Desirables:

  • Experience of managing and coaching junior team members to produce deliverables.
  • Understanding of the tools and automation opportunities (e.g., SQL, Python) that can drive improvement in the way we deliver work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience of completing either Audit or Assurance work.

Connect to your service line - Audit & Assurance

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints. This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm. The recruitment team will provide further detail as you progress through the recruitment process.

Connect with your colleagues

“We are proud of the work we do in the public interest and our audit team are dedicated to the highest standards of independence, professional objectivity and technical excellence.”
