Apply your forensics skills to the most significant investigations around.

Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) keeps the nation and everyone in it safe from all manner of threats. Those are evolving all the time, as is the way we tackle them. Which means this is your chance to apply your digital forensics skills to some of the most important and high-profile investigations there are.

You’ll be part of a team providing key digital forensics skills to Counter Terrorism work in London and further afield. That will see you use computer forensic techniques to identify data or files and call on your forensic and investigative skills as you add context to how the data was created or obtained, by whom and when, and how that supports the objectives set.

We’ll look to you to prepare and present technical evidential reports and statements that non-technical people can understand, and complex in a clear and understandable form, and extract specific data for parallel viewing and assessing by Digital Media Assessments. In addition, you’ll attend scenes, and act as on-call examiner and lead examiner in future.

You’ll bring us sound theoretical knowledge and practical experience, plus the ability to acquire, exploit and evidence data from digital devices. Confident and experienced, you’ll be comfortable presenting your work at court. As importantly, you’ll have a keen interest in technology advances and how we could use them to keep Londoners, and the wider country, safe.

In return, you can look forward to benefits including substantial annual leave, Civil Service pension arrangements, interest free season ticket loans, flexible working conditions and more.
