As a multi-channel retailer and now in our third decade on the high street, we are seeking Full Time QC Warehouse Operatives to join our Distribution Team in Annesley.
Who are Cotton Traders?
CT for short, we are a clothing retailer and established in 1987 by England rugby captains and legends Fran Cotton and Steve Smith. Supported by a growing online and offline (catalogue) presence, we have 80 stores nationwide in England, Scotland and Wales and employ 800 people across the country. We have an ambitious 5 year plan to grow the business across all touch points and we can only do this with the best people around us. In turn, we are now looking for QC Warehouse Operatives to join our Distribution Centre Teams working across a dedicated shift pattern.
What’s in the role and what are we looking for?
QC Warehouse Operatives are the heartbeat of the logistics industry and we are searching for the best right now! Due to continued growth, we urgently require QC Warehouse Operatives to work as part of a dedicated QC Team. The most important thing we recruit for at CT is attitude - we have an army of positive, helpful and kind individuals who enjoy what they do, make great first and lasting impressions and have helped us become the great British brand that we are now. QC Warehouse Operatives will undertake a wide range of duties including:
- Receipting Gold Seal/Production samples from Head Office and organising within the QC area
- Checking carton end information against the system
- Handling and opening of cartons to check stock
- Checking label and packaging information against approved sample
- Inspecting products for quality against a gold seal sample standard
- Checking basic product measurements against an approved size specification
- Communicating with Head Office Technologists any quality/measurement issues found, taking clear photographs and giving clear and concise information
- Completing paperwork recording a summary of inspection
- Carrying out pick face inspection at request of Head Office Technologist
- Clearing old season Gold Seal/Production samples in preparation for new season
- Carrying out higher percentage inspections on rejected initial inspections
- Ensuring that housekeeping is maintained within the QC area ensuring the area is kept clean, neat and tidy at all times
About You:
- You will be reliable, hardworking and detail conscious
- We are looking for staff with great attitude, who are keen and willing to learn
- Have the ability to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised
- Demonstrate good standards of housekeeping along with an awareness of health and safety issues

We currently have exciting, full-time opportunities for QC Warehouse Operatives to join our growing team and are currently recruiting to cover the below shift pattern:
- Monday to Friday - 14.00 - 22.00
