About the Department
Cloudflare's Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations department architects, implements, and supports technology for our internal infrastructure, enterprise applications, and user community.
What you'll do
Cloudflare's IT Infrastructure team is looking for a key person to support and manage the Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and various plugins for each as well as the OS/stack they run on). These and other systems owned by our team are highly visible to the entire Cloudflare organization, and used by employees across the world. You would be responsible for owning and operating these tools, with the support of the broader IT organization. You're also empowered and expected to use insight, experience and creativity to innovate; find solutions and automations that are elegant, easy to use, easy to operate.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills with the ability to triage and juggle tasks efficiently.
- Minimum 5 years of Linux systems administration experience supporting highly available applications
- Minimum 3years administering Atlassian Datacenter tools on-prem (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Experience with database administration as it applies to Atlassian tools (we use Postgres)
- Experience with IdP integrations to Atlassian such as Active Directory or Okta
- Expertise scripting and automating repetitive tasks with creativity and efficiency
- Experience developing Disaster Recovery / High Availability architectures and plans
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
Bonus Points
- Experience working with Zendesk support tools and workflows
- Experience working with Cloudflare's product suite, such as Argo Tunnel and Access
- Networking experience (firewalls, routing tables, HTTP debugging)
- Experience working in a change-controlled environment
- Experience as a DBA
