Chestertons –Inspection Clerk (Property Management)

Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 am - 6 pm

Location: Islington based - hybrid working

Salary: £28,000 + up to £250.00 commission additional per month + travel allowance

We are currently searching for a hardworking individual to join our Property Management team. The role will be based in our Islington office, however the successful candidate will be classed as ‘roaming’ as this role requires visiting properties within our London boundaries.

This is a new role within the department as expansion is prominent and demand for our services is high. We are looking for someone experienced who can bring their knowledge and personal touch to help us grow this department.

The ideal candidate should be confident and a decisive individual who is capable of leading from the front. You should be self-motivated, goal oriented with great organisational skills.

Main duties:

  • Liaise with the Property Management Team and Tenants to confirm inspections
  • Confirm property visits with Tenants / or book and confirm property visits?
  • Ensure all appointments are attended on time
  • Take detailed notes and photographs of the property, i.e. fixture & fittings, furniture
  • Take and record property meter reading
  • Carry out Health and Safety Inspections
  • Collecting and returning of keys as per booking arrangements if applicable
  • Compile and submit reports from inspections, ensuring all item descriptions are accurate

  • Excellent Speaking and writing skills
  • Previous experience as an inventory or Inspections clerk ideally working within the property sector
  • Confident dealing with people
  • Be approachable, helpful and project positivity!

  • Must thrive on working and delivering consistently high standards under pressure
