Job Title: Head Chef

Contract: Full Time

Hours: 48 Hours per week, including weekends

Location: Cardiff and Vale College, Dumballs Road

Salary: £49,829 per annum (inclusive of overtime)

CF10 Retail Ltd are seeking to appoint a Head Chef to join the chef brigade at the City Centre Campus at Cardiff and Vale College.

This role reports in to the Head of Department and is responsible for:

· Ensure all menus are to college specification

· Ensure all dishes are to college specification

· Ensure all recipes and preparation requirements are met

· Ensure temperature, seasoning and flavours are to specification

· Achieve food margin

· Deliver the organisational kitchen standards as identified on kitchen audit

· Implement and ensure the organisational Health and Safety policy is met at all times – this includes the training of all kitchen staff

· Comply and implement all Health and Safety and Food Hygiene requirements

· Ensure all food is served to specification

· Ensure the kitchen runs smoothly on a daily basis and is adequately stocked with all necessary goods

· Promote a positive perception of the organisation at all times both internally and externally

We are looking for someone with technical skills and qualifications commensurate with the position. We also require the candidate to have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent organisational Skills and have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Additional considerations include the need for working shift patterns to meet the needs of the core business which will include evenings and weekends.
