As a Costing & Operations Business Manager for Caterpillar, you will provide business analysis, cost analysis, financial counsel, and strategic planning/analysis support to the Management Team. You will provide business analysis, cost analysis, financial counsel, and strategic planning/analysis support to the Management Team of a focus facility or a full subsidiary. You will report directly to the Business Support Manager are management accountants and/or salaried support positions.

You will be accountable for driving:

• Provide business analysis support by establishing target costs, cost monitoring, new product introduction analysis, value chain analysis, investment analysis, sourcing analysis, product costing and supporting worldwide new product introduction projects.

• Manage all aspects of accounting and financial reporting or development of product price strategies including annual business plan, rolling business management, long term forecast and volume flexibility planning.

• Accountable for division's monthly financial reporting and analysis of business statements to assist managers in managing costs and revenues in product and operations areas.

• Participate in strategy development to improve accountable results.

• Support Caterpillar Global Finance Strategy through transformation of our processes and automation to help generate business insights.

Required qualifications:

• A recognized Accounting professional Qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent)

• Strong background in accounting, cost accounting, and budget development.

• Previous experience demonstrating effective leadership

• Strong analytical skills are required to perform detailed financial analysis and prepare strategic plans

• Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific action

Top Candidates will also have:

• Degree concentrated in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, or related.

Job Title: Costing & Operations Business Manager

Salary: £76,900 - £80,000 depending on experience

Contract : Full time contract

Location: Desford, Leicestershire – hybrid working considered with at least 3 days in the office or as the business need demands

Hours : Full Time – 37.50

Travel : up to 10% mainly in the UK with occasional global travel.
